Snow condition
Until yesterday morning it was almost green up to over 1800m. Now everything is nice and white right down to the valleys. However, as this is just the first base, not worth more than one star. In the valley at 800m approx. 25cm, at 1200m approx. 40cm and today on the summit of the Hochgrat approx. 60cm, depending on the conditions. As I said, it was all on grass, stones and trees. Not exactly a relaxed ride.
Snow quality
It was minus 2 degrees in the car. However, the snow was not light and fluffy, but strangely dull and very slow to drive.
Risks
I dare say that there was no danger today up to 2000m, due to zero base beforehand and not too much. Tomorrow with storms and more snow it will be a different story.
Overall impression
Halfway conciliatory second Christmas Eve...
