Snow condition

Bad on the south side, great on the north side! In sheltered areas there is up to 1.5m of snow on the valley floor at 1100m! See pictures. Also on the north side in the forest everything is rideable. Even made a few pillow jumps. At 1600m about 30cm of fresh snow, 5 of them last night. Therefore 4 stars for the north side

Snow quality

No longer super easy but good pow above 1200m. Below that, the layer on the old snow became thin, but it was at least reasonably stable on the descent.

From about 40 degrees there was some sluff. Otherwise nothing observed in terms of avalanches. Covered drift snow should be an issue further up. Treewells could be a danger at the moment. It's already thawed away around the trees, now it's snowed on again. Quite a few things are covered. I've sunk the stick several times. And I slipped a few times today due to the hard surface. So there's also a risk of falling in exposed terrain

Overall impression

Einsame Tour bei super Bedingungen. Für die Höhenlage und Jahreszeit einfach top. Sonne kam dagegen nur für wenige Minuten raus. Dafür war absolut niemand unterwegs, nicht ein weiteres Auto am Parkplatz.
