Snow condition

for the end of may, sensational snow conditions. there's more to come!!!

Snow quality

in the bärgüntletal: closed snow cover, from about 1400m. from about 1600m, something like fresh snow, as creamy, very heavy pow. above 1800m quite good pow, on a supporting base. departure at 10.30h, was too late for the area below 1600m today. cruel break.

no avalanches or slides seen. as it was relatively cool, despite the longer sunny stretches, quite safe today.

Overall impression

bis sich in den genannten bereichen sommerschnee bildet dauerts noch. heute war ein sehr guter und recht sonniger skitag, mit viel firn und sulz. der bruch gehört halt auch dazu ... im obertal wäre auch noch bike&ski denkbar.
