Blown backs
Variations of snow cover

Above approx. 2,000 m, increasing wind influence. The higher you get, the more the wind has blown away. Slopes, ridges and crests close to the crest are blown away and often snow-covered. You'll be fine in hollows and hollows that have been blown in, but there are often a few rocks waiting next to them.

Wind drifted snow

If you can find wind-protected and shady areas, there is still top powder at all altitudes. Unfortunately, all other areas have a large melt crust on the south side or a wind crust. Snow cover is building up, especially on shady slopes.
