Snow condition

In the forest between 1800-2100 quite ok, above that everything was blown away. Means trenches are filled, tops are bare. Sharky in all expos and no snow at all in places due to south and wind.

Snow quality

We were out and about in the off-piste terrain above the tree line, where we encountered everything from crushed harsh snow to soft drift snow and huge, hard wind ripples. In flat terrain there was powder in places, with the emphasis on places.

Since the last snowfall, a lot has definitely gone down or been blown up. What's still up there now seems stable, but note the new drift snow and old snow on steep north-facing slopes. We were able to observe a small loose snow slide from a south-facing slope.

Overall impression

Insgesamt eher unlohnenswert ins Variantengelände zu fahren, das Tourengelände sah vielversprechender aus, aber im Endeffekt fehlt überall Schnee. Wind und Sonne tragen nicht zu besserem Schnee bei...
