Time period

Until Tuesday afternoon

Alert areas

From easternmost Tyrol/Salzburgerland to the Land of the Rising Sun on the Schneeberg. The core will be from Upper Austria to Styria. Other northern Alps from Switzerland to Tyrol will probably get some cosmetics but not more than 10-25cm.

Wind

Windy but not wild, so there will also be powder on top on Wednesday.

Snow line

Below 1000m, mostly 500-800m, so powder suitable down to far. However, it will be warm on Wednesday, so you should stay higher up and exposed to the north if the weather improves.

Mid-term

The oracle probably had this in mind when it overlooked the Far Eastern Ullr-San and even there, after a brief moderation, it will be cold and snowy again by the weekend. Where: Again throughout the Northern Alps. More on this in the WeatherBlog and then possibly again from me on Thursday.
