Snow report Bregenzerwald, 01/05/2016
Die letzten Schneefälle sind sonnseitig Kosmetik und schattseitig findet sich der ein oder andere nette Hang. Aber trotzdem ist es für diese Jahreszeit deutlich unter dem Durchschnitt.

Snow condition
The fresh snow (approx. 30-40 cm in total) of the last few days has already settled considerably. On the surface, the snow is still finely powdery and very easy to ski. The ridges and exposed areas are almost snow-free and only there is some wind slush. On the shady side (>1,500m) there is enough snow to ski a few turns. On the sunny side, there is too little snow for sensible off-piste skiing up to over 2,000m. It is still well below average.
Snow quality
There is even finer powder for cruising almost everywhere in this area. It's best on the shaded side. I personally like this type of snow
Risks
I would personally avoid extremely steep terrain >40° (especially where there was snow before). In general, everything has settled well. The fresh snow is either lying on nothing or a crust of melted snow. When stepping onto plateaus, there were a few distinct booming noises. I didn't see any triggering by winter sports enthusiasts or spontaneous descents.
Overall impression
Weathery day in the area and fine snow for cruising. The entire area near the lift is completely groomed and some of it is already a real mogul slope. With ascents, you can still get hold of slopes with little traffic. However, as there should always be fresh snow, this is not so relevant anyway.
