Snow condition
Things are improving. Ridges, ridges and exposed areas are still free of snow or hard old snow surface due to the strong winds, otherwise there was snow everywhere. In sheltered areas it was about 30 cm this afternoon, otherwise very varied, from lightly covered to blown in.
Snow quality
In both descents, I skied a wind-protected track in the upper part, where the snow was a bit sleety but very fine to ski. In areas exposed to the wind, the snow cover is very variable on a small scale, but with a good eye it's quite easy to ski.
Risks
Fresh snow and storms make it very tricky in combination. Plus some settling noises on the ascent. When I reached the ridge, I remotely triggered a small snow slab 50m below, in the lee (or it spontaneously came off at exactly that moment). Unfortunately, it's not so easy to see in the photo.
Overall impression
The joy of two very good runs outweighs the storm. The coming fresh snow will further improve the situation, but the avalanche situation will remain tricky for the next few days.
