Snow condition

Start at 700 m. As usual, a very good base down to the lowlands. Old tracks are almost completely covered in snow again. In the meantime, what was nibbled off by the foehn has probably been put back on. It's been about 35 cm since Monday

Snow quality

4 von 5 Sterne

Very fluffy this morning at -10 degrees. Less snow in places when the wind has picked it up. But there's even more behind the edges of the terrain. In places 60 cm and more of drift snow in hollows and behind cornices probably much more. This observation applies to elevations well below the tree line

Risks

As suspected, note the drift snow. As the wind came relatively constantly from the west, the danger spots are quite easy to recognize in combination with the visible danger signs.

Overall impression

3 von 5 Sterne

It's great that it's constantly powdering. Many tours have been in good powdery conditions again since the Föhn storm. The only downside is the drifting snow and the fact that it's supposed to get a little warmer

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
