The snow conditions are still suitable for the time of year. You now have to ski up to the first steep step. In the first short snow field it is no longer worthwhile with skis on the ascent. After that still good. But with the current weather conditions, I think holes will soon open up and change the uniform white picture. It's difficult to judge how long it will last. But I think the good impression is a bit deceptive.

The hard boulders have largely thawed. On the east side it gets very soft very quickly (Goinger Törl). On the north side it's only ok to ski around midday, before that it's icy. Depends on timing and night.

Risks

The daytime cycle and this is not insignificant in the eastern and south-eastern areas from midday onwards. Then it quickly becomes critical. Also note the diurnal cycle in relation to the rocks, but most of it should have come with the rain.

Overall impression

For people from the surrounding area and the Rosenheim / Traunstein area who don't mind the 40-minute carry, this is a nice tour with a relatively short journey. You're rarely completely alone, but the crowds are no longer out and about.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
