Descent into the valley is not possible. There is also very little snow on the mountain. The glaciers are still partially snowed out and the ridges are heavily blown away. You can ski on the piste as far as the middle station. With a lot of motivation, you can also ski off-piste... But there is enough snow in many high standard variants.

Snow quality

3 von 5 Sterne

The 3 stars refer to some gullies between 3200m and 2800m. There is no more uninfluenced powder there, but extremely good, cold snow that is also good enough for a faceshot. Otherwise very compact and ok skiable snow. Not many stones due to the low snow cover. But they are clearly visible and therefore not a problem. Towards the middle station, a melting crust quickly forms and the fun ends just as quickly.

Risks

Stones and crevasses are the main dangers. We did not observe any fresh avalanches.

Overall impression

2 von 5 Sterne

A good start after the long summer and little snowfall. Standard variants are skiable, some with good snow. Objectively, however, only enough for 2 stars.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
