Tree-Runs und Faceshots im Zillertal
Snow condition
Snow quality
Overall impression
Snow condition
Sufficient snow conditions, stone contact can be avoided if the route is chosen accordingly, downhill run in the terrain absolutely not possible
Snow quality
Good conditions no longer easy to find, local knowledge and choice of route crucial, but then still fluffy pow to be found, but snow cover possible on south-facing slopes, heavier snow towards midday. The terrain accessible from the ski area is already worn and icy.
Risks
Avalanche warning level 2. Due to the poor visibility, we didn't even venture into dangerous terrain. Therefore, we did not make any observations in this regard. Danger of wet avalanches increases as the day progresses. Snow became much heavier.
Overall impression
Thanks to local knowledge (with various ascents), an unexpectedly good day with untracked forest descents and great snow quality. It's worth the search!
Weather unfortunately not on our side.
