You can get to the parking lot again, but there is no more deep powder down there in Le Chable like at the beginning of December. It may improve again in the next few days. Above 1500, however, it's dust on powder again. The 40-50cm of fresh snow from today naturally got better and better as the day went on.

Snow quality

Cold smoke in the blown-in forests. Underneath is powder that can be skied quickly. In the lower areas, the dull old snow is still noticeable.

Risks

Stresses are evident in the open northern slopes. Settling noises indicate this very clearly. There is unbound powder in the forest, which follows you as a mighty sluff. Holes, gullies and depressions should be navigated very carefully. Or not.

Fat stormy day, got better every hour. Heavy snowfall led to free refills after every run. It's a shame when you can't continue at 16:15 with 50cm of fresh snow.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
