The snow conditions in the Kitzbühel Alps are still very good. Only on very sunny slopes are there more and more patches of loose snow. You can still get down to about 1000 m into the valley without any problems. Today we were mainly below 2000 m in the southeast exposure.
Snow quality
In the morning, there was a stable layer of harsh snow that developed into perfect firn around 9:30 am. Around 11:30 it gets boggy and time to take a seat in the sun with an espresso.
Risks
Classic spring conditions here today, starting and finishing early. In the meantime, you can also see a lot of wet snow.
Overall impression
Fine day, no wind, pure sunshine and perfect firn. Spring also has its delicacies.
