Snow condition
The Hochgratbahn parking lot can be skinned up to 900 m and started directly. However, you can't get down on all paths without ground contact. With a little knowledge of the area, it is best to keep below the cable car to catch more grass than stones. The descent via the toboggan run is not recommended. Too much going on and there are also quite a few stones. Better to take the mogul slopes.
Snow quality
To the side of the rutted slopes, there are very, very few square meters of groomed surf powder that is reminiscent of something like freeriding without stone or plant rebound... The rest is rutted but nice and grippy.
Risks
In fact, there are always surprisingly large accumulations of snow in the hidden little ravines next to the ascent on the north side. As these lead into unattractive ski terrain, this is probably not a significant danger. I consider the risk of injury from sharp stones or toboggans to be greater, which is also in line with the downgraded 1 of the LLB today
Overall impression
If you want to protect your skis, you should stay at home. But the views over the sea of fog will make you forget any scratches. For the coming days, I would choose ski slopes with a grassy base and go high up but not too high so that the snow is not blown away. And not too south-facing as it is slowly starting to snow out here.
