Due to the altitude (2000+), descents into the valley are possible. However, it is almost impossible to avoid stone contact. Especially on supposedly good slopes, you are likely to encounter a shark from time to time. Really little snow on the south side (0-5cm on meadows or rocks is not uncommon). In north-facing gullies or hollows, however, you can still find about 20 cm of relatively fresh snow.

At the moment you can find the full spectrum from wind cover to firn on the mountain. Only the fresh powder is missing. Everything is extremely dependent on the exposure. Even if the exposure of a ridge is supposedly the same, the conditions change from melt cover to good powder, depending on which side you ski on. The good powder can only be found in shady north-east to north-facing gullies or perhaps slopes.

Risks

According to LLB 2, sliding snow avalanches can be a problem at lower altitudes. Due to the altitude, I could not understand this. In general, everything seems very well set and the 2 is more than okay. I didn't have the feeling that I could trigger anything in any, even steeper, gullies. We also didn't see any slides or anything similar.

The search for good lines in ski resorts is extremely time-consuming and you have to know exactly where to look. But there are still options! It really is about time it snowed again.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
