Snow condition

Due to the cold temperatures of the last few days, the snow is still holding up quite well. In sunny exposures, more and more terrain traps are slowly but surely appearing. Streams and hollows should not be underestimated. Up to approx. 1100 m you can still get down quite well on the south side. The worst conditions are on the west side. The snow conditions are very good for the time of year.

Snow quality

4 von 5 Sterne

Surprisingly good! We did the first run on the south side. The fresh snow there (around 10 cm) was already slightly damp but still very easy to ski around 10 am. After another ascent, we turned into the northern exposure. Cold powder (up to 20 cm) without the influence of wind and hardly any penetration on the base. It could hardly be better at the end of March.

Risks

Quite relaxed here today. The diurnal cycle was not very pronounced today. Some sliding and wet snow avalanches have already come down. On the sunny side you can find some large fish mouths. Be sure to avoid these. Isolated and rather small accumulations of drift snow were clearly visible today.

Overall impression

4 von 5 Sterne

We opted for lift-assisted tours today and didn't really have any particularly high expectations. The north-facing powder below 2000 m was simply amazing!

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
