There is now plenty of snow. Downhill runs are possible right into the valley. Apart from major obstacles, everything is actually covered in snow. The choice of line is no longer really restricted. I can't remember the last time there was so much snow in December.
Snow quality
50cm of fine snow, without a lid or any other problems. The wind raged in exposed places. Partly also in the forest. But we were able to limit this to 2-3 slopes. There were more face shots today than we could count, which is very rare at 190cm.
Risks
The 2 surprised us this morning. We were firmly set on a 3 at this altitude, but the 2 at low altitudes was appropriate. Also from our point of view. Sliding snow is currently the most widespread problem. On some slopes, fields have started to move. But nothing has slid down so far. Above the tree line it's rather uncomfortable at the moment.
Overall impression
I've never awarded 5 stars here before. Today it should be. 50cm and more of the best snow, LLB level 2, ridge lines in blower powder, nobody around...for me one of the days in recent years.
