Interestingly, only one star, had somehow hoped for more... If there is a really nice blanket of snow in the Wilhelm and Zastler valleys from 1000m upwards, then the Schauinsland is only okay...there is a lot of meadow on the pasture to the Rotlache, pasture fences are still the biggest danger. The Kappler Wald is also only good to a limited extent.

Snow quality

Pasture partly set powder. Sometimes still loose and easy, but not much.power line to the north and "Kappler Wand" wind-pressed, but still easy to ride.forest flow.

Risks

Steep slopes up there are pretty baked from the wind...

Overall impression

Beautiful, very lonely (because early) round for a change with some sun at the start. Around 11 a.m., slight fog activity.
Generally, everything here is also very muddy. Even the scree directly from the summit looks like a slope. As if by a miracle, we were the first to ski the upper part of the route today...at the bottom, tracks are coming out of the forest from the left and right.
It remains cold, but you need some fresh snow.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
