Snow condition
The amount of snow is now quite decent and most ski tours are possible. The constant snowfall over the last few days has provided some fresh snow. Nevertheless, the exact amount of snow on the slope depends heavily on the wind exposure over the last few days. The spectrum ranges from blown off to bottomless deep snow. There is a thick blanket of snow right down to the valley floor. In the meantime, I would also dare to say that there is enough snow in the forest or in scree cirques.
Snow quality
The snow quality was very good. There was beautiful powder snow from the valley to the summit. However, it thawed a little in the valley this afternoon. Perhaps this will result in a snow cover for the south-facing and lower slopes.
Risks
Our tour was planned very cautiously. You could see the influence of the wind on the surrounding mountains. However, I did not observe any avalanche activity. I couldn't identify any drift snow problems on the slopes of our tour.
Overall impression
The last 2 days have been a nice reward for the long wait for the snow. I think the next few days will be really good again.
