So you can drive down to just under 2000 up to the trunk. Above that there is mostly a closed snow cover. Some steep south-facing slopes are already bare up to around 2300m. Things look much better on the north side.

So after the snowfall on Wednesday and Thursday, we were still expecting something powdery. We only found it from around 2900 on the south side. On the north side, it looks like it could still be usable up to around 2500 in the shade. Since we left from the south side, comfortable spring cruising was possible from about 11h with the finding in the high sunny areas. Below that, the slopes in the shade had only just started to become rideable. Everything that gets sun at the beginning of the day or longer quickly becomes sticky. The time window for a good descent is relatively short.

Risks

As everyone was already sitting down for a bike ride at 12 no one was able to catch up on the previous day's activities or report on current events. The diurnal warming led to large wet snow slides above 2000 up to 2700 the day before. The warm WE will certainly postpone this until earlier in the day.

Yes, a tour like that is nice. Above all, you like to round off an upcoming WE at 11:30 a.m. with a bike. Ascent quite nice, also possible without Harschesten and climbing aid. Descent around 11am is ideal.
