Snow conditions are good. More than enough snow from the start (just under 900m). You can also get down on the south side (we only saw it, didn't do it).

Snow quality

3 von 5 Sterne

We were only out and about in the northern sector. In shady, sheltered areas, you can still find settled powder that is nice to ski. Even further down than I expected (approx. 1,000-1,100 m), the summit slopes of the Churfirsten are, as is so often the case, windswept and blown off. Not a dream to ride. On average 3 stars.

Risks

With the right timing, the touring conditions are favorable. On the north side, we have not seen any signs for walking, SLF still warns of a weak layer in the area of the tree line, a big issue are sliding snow avalanches, in sunny slopes many fish mouths and sliding snow avalanches can be seen (unfortunately I have no photo).

Overall impression

4 von 5 Sterne

Beautiful extended touring weekend. Fantastic weather (only 10 degrees too warm) and still found good snow. Not everywhere and of course already a bit tracked but in the overall package it is still just enough for 4 stars.
