Overall impression
Snow condition
Above 1200 - 1300 m (N, E, W) usable base with fresh snow cover (Thursday night) above 1500 m = 15-35 cm depending on snow displacement (wind)
Snow quality
So on this tour with the chosen downhill routes, I would almost give it 4 stars, but due to the foehn in the south, the powder was "mostly in the region only up to Mittaq in northern exposures. Otherwise everything could be found up to.... to no snow; where the wind could rage extremely and "transported" the snow away
Risks
Accumulations of drift snow above 1800 m are extremely critical. Even in the afternoon, small ground snow avalanches were spotted on steep meadow slopes. That's why it makes my hair stand on end - when many people start their tour at noon in these temperatures and choose the most delicate ascent variant....
Overall impression
Today, the saying "the early bird catches the worm" applies to finding good to very good snow conditions.
