So dear friends of the white mass - let's go, let's go, let's go! Out with the wide slats (--> equip the stone skis and the repair candles), as the Christmas tourist flow has not yet completely ebbed away, we went on a short tour on the Bürserberg. Mrs. Holle had already blessed the higher areas with a nice blanket. On the Bürserberg, unfortunately, it was only enough for a coffee blanket with lace. In other words: bushes and grasses are still visible, there is a risk of stone contact, not much descent is possible. Our ascent was via the winter hiking trail, the path is sufficiently covered with snow in the forest and the open slopes still look poor.

Thanks to the snowfall, we actually found a slope with the finest fresh snow - light and fluffy. A pleasure with few stones. The quality is excellent, the problem lies more in the quantity.

Risks

The ski area is relatively low (just about 1800 m above sea level) and our tour ended at 1500 m above sea level. We did not observe any particular danger spots. Due to the low altitude, there is no critical old snow cover that could cause poor binding. We didn't see any drifts, the danger comes more from lightly snow-covered terrain (sticks and stones). The snow cover makes a very homogeneous impression and has consolidated well.

This was probably more of a workout for ascent training. Due to the poor snow conditions, it is not yet possible to ski across forests and meadows. We were lucky to find a piste at the top that wasn't open yet, where we were able to make a few nice turns. You can only get down to the valley via the pistes (which are also quite grassy) or the winter hiking trail. (5 stars for the unicorn burger at the hut)
