Snow condition

4 von 5 Sterne

On the north side a good half meter of powder, south slopes below 2000m bare, below 3000m heavy snow (subjective impression - we climbed the summit ridge and on the south side I wouldn't have wanted to set a foothold)

Snow quality

5 von 5 Sterne

Due to the strong high-altitude wind, there was a lot of wind-pressed snow on the ascent, as well as on the last slope before the ski depot. A completely different world on the descent. 50 cm of cold powder in moderate to steep terrain.

Risks

Due to the strong winds at high altitude, there was a massive amount of drifting near the ridge. We made the ascent track accordingly and were thus able to avoid the most unpleasant slopes. Above 3000m, there is a massive layer of harsh snow. In the wind-protected area there is a lot! Powder, which also looks damn solid on homogeneous slopes. Crossed some fresh avalanche cones from steep slopes on the west side on the ascent.

Overall impression

4 von 5 Sterne

If you take the current conditions into account, you can still find fantastic powder even at these temperatures!

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
