From the valley, it is no longer worthwhile to climb up in the forest. It's better on the piste. The artificial snow base is now also needed again for the descent to the car.

Very hard frozen snow in the valley and lower areas in the morning. It really picked up overnight. From about 1400m upwards, there was 5-10cm of fresh snow, which fell extremely wet, i.e. very sticky. When I skied down in the late afternoon, it was quite nice to ski in the lower area, as if it had been firned up, but not by the sun, but by renewed rain.

Risks

I couldn't observe any spontaneous avalanches or similar. It sounded as if avalanche blasting was being carried out. But I couldn't explain this, as ski slopes are not secured.

The day actually started quite well. A bit of sunshine after many cloudy days. However, it quickly became overcast at midday and rained below 1800m. I hope I can use the stamina I'm building up at the moment for interesting tours at some point.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
