There is already a nice blanket for the season. At 2000m approx. 80cm. But there is only one layer. No carpet pad. In the valley there are still a few cm. However, as there is only pastureland in the lower part, it is possible to ski down to the valley without coming into contact with stones. Caution is called for at the top. The terrain is still very uneven. You have to read the terrain well and look ahead. But it is easy to ride. Had no contact with stones.

Top 80cm at its very best. You can easily take out the very wide ski. Nothing wind-pressed. No lid all the way down to the valley.

Risks

As this is the first snowy slope, it should still be well connected to the terrain. Slides are to be expected on steep grassy slopes. During the snowfall, however, it was initially stormy and there were some drift snow accumulations, mainly on the eastern slopes. (W wind).

A fantastic start to the season. A week ago, we were still hiking. Now it's only getting better with every snowfall. The season in the Jungfrau Region starts on 19.11.2016 (weekend operation until 3.12.2016). However, the Wengernalpbahn runs daily and transports skiers without any problems. But no further than Kleine Scheidegg. There were many ski tourers on Saturday who skied to the Eigergletscher or the Lauberhorn. The winter season ticket is not yet valid.
