Snow condition
Sufficient base now available almost everywhere on the Hochfügen side. Sufficient snowfall in the last few days (approx. 50cm new), but often wind-loaded. However, routes can be chosen without any problems. (On the Hochzillertal side, there is still more rock contact due to the load, so route selection should be made more carefully there).
Snow quality
The fluffy powder of the last few days is only present where not everything has been plowed up yet. Legal base. A few powder turns still possible after a long search. Snow quality locally very mixed. Soft in places, but also very wind-pressed in places.
Risks
Above tree line 3 - below it 2nd snow well set, but still existing drift snow problem in the summit area. A sliding snow avalanche already observed yesterday in the upper area.
Overall impression
Bad weather - rough terrain and (for the battered legs of the last few days ;)) exhausting to ride.
The odd fluffy pillow line was fun nonetheless.
