Powder und steigende Lawinengefahr in Val d'Isere

Overall impression
Snow condition
Tonight we had another 20 cm of fresh snow. A total of around 60 cm has fallen since Tuesday
Snow quality
Not a super cold powder in the morning but you can't complain. It went very well in the trees. Unfortunately it warmed up very quickly below 3000 m. In the afternoon it was 7 degrees at 2000 m...
Risks
Due to the warming, the avalanche danger increased considerably. From 11 a.m., most of the terrain was no longer skiable without risk. There were a few natural, medium-size avalanches in the touring area with a clear avalanche edge. There was a lot of wind the last few days. In the afternoon there were many loose snow avalanches. Something came down in almost all exposures. But especially on the south side. In addition to the weak layer from early winter, there is a current weak layer at a depth of around 50 cm from last week's snowfall. The connection is not very good in places.
Overall impression
Nice PowderAlert and balm for thirsty souls. But it's not made easy. Unfortunately, the risk of avalanches and the warm temperatures limit it somewhat, but at least there's a better base for once.
