Snow report Stubai Valley, 03/28/2014
Stubaier Alpen Süd. Skitour im Pflerschtal
Snow condition

Overall impression
Snow condition
Very (!) steep and rocky south-facing slopes only have a closed snow cover from around 2000m. The remaining exposures are very well supplied with snow, at the start at 1350m there is just under a meter. Therefore another 4 stars. It will last even longer if it doesn't get too summery.
Snow quality
Nice set powder only on the north side and above about 2100m, in steeper and shadier areas also down to 1700-1800m. Load-bearing hardpack only on the south side, which also firns up during the course of the day. The east and west are rather moderate fun with broken harsch and deep slush. But you can avoid this by choosing your tour.
Risks
Low was spent, that's how it felt. As always, pay attention to the time of day.
Overall impression
I still give it 4 stars because, despite the many people you've met in the Pflersch Valley in recent years, the most interesting downhill variants have not yet been tracked in the best snow.
