Unchanged. On the north side you can still reach the valley at 850m, on the south side it is already over by about 1200-1400m.

In pure north-facing areas, the powder was still settled today and easy to ski. We weren't on the south side, maybe firn already?

Risks

The danger at the moment is the sliding snow avalanches. The approx. 50-80cm wide crack I observed yesterday in a purely northern exposure went down into the valley tonight/morning. The snow thickness here was approx. 1.80 - 2m!

Overall impression

5 von 5 Sterne

Wow that was a blast today. The steepest and most direct line on my local mountain with an entrance that is unrideable. Approx. 70 degrees, interspersed with rocks. I saw a free track from a snowboard here once 5 or 6 years ago after a heavy snowstorm - which built a ramp right up to the ridge - and the subsequent high pressure/long cold dry spell with subsequent LLB 1, and never again since or before. So today we descended the approx. 30m with a rope to the "plain" - as my buddy calls it. However, the so-called plain is still over 50 degrees steep, so tomorrow I'll go wellness skiing on the piste... the battery is empty. We did the abseil 3 times today plus 3 more trips from the summit and for the "relative singularity" I give it 5 stars for the first time this season. Of course, this is due to subjective impressions...
