Snow report Sun head, 12/29/2018
Westl. Eisentalerspitzen - oben top, unten flop
Snow condition
Snow quality
Overall impression
Snow condition
Very good snow conditions, above approx. 2000m everything is perfectly snow-covered. Exit to Langen without any problems; apart from a few streams, rideable throughout.
Snow quality
Above 2000 m still super powder (3-4*). Below 2000 m, melting crust and hard snow predominate, here only 1*2. Part of the descent is not very rewarding as large avalanches have gone down into the valley and is therefore very annoying and difficult to ski, generally tours are possible in the region from approx. 1700, below that thin. Exit to Langen only possible thanks to a prepared forest road and shady valley.
Risks
Overall impression
Conditions divided into two: above approx. 2000 m great conditions with powder; only sporadic wind or melt crust.
Below 2000 m poor conditions: Melt crust, old avalanche boulders, hard snow.
