Snow condition
Bikes should be everywhere, otherwise it will be far. The snow is still good from around 1300 onwards. You can already tell that it's slowly getting colder at higher altitudes, but the 40 cm of fresh snow is helping again. In favorable areas, you'll be able to do useful things in the Northern Alps for even longer.
Snow quality
Not as good as on Sunday, but the wet fresh snow doesn't slow you down at all and is still a lot of fun! the sun is also coming down well on the NNE side and is already strong in the morning. you could still feel soft broken snow at the bottom on the way up, but even that was ok on the way down. Departure at 10:00 a.m. - could have been 2 hours earlier.
Risks
There's no sign of the drift snow below 2000m and I haven't been any higher than that.the fresh snow is well settled, but a lot will come off the steep slopes as the radiation increases, so you should definitely keep an eye on it.it's best to stay purely on the shaded side and wait for the discharges. There were lots of small snow rolls and loose snow slides today, but nothing big so far.
Overall impression
Super morning, which started a bit slow with getting up early and hardcore bushwacking, but more than made up for it with the great atmosphere at the Supersecretspot and really cool snow to ride.
I find it difficult to give less than 4 stars, but in contrast to Sunday rather at the lower end... ;)
