Snow condition
South-facing up to 1400m, where there is snow, the snow cover is marked by rain. On the alpine path to the Pürzlbach you could still run out (0 stars for February). The snow from Friday could then be enjoyed from 1400m. On the west side there is little base, but it's skiable, on the shaded side it's really good. With a little caution, contact with the enemy can be avoided (on the north side it's closer to 3 stars).
Snow quality
Today it was fun almost everywhere (where there was snow). On the north side there was cold, fast powder, on the sunny side it turned relatively quickly into wet slush, which was almost like firn due to its low thickness on a stable surface.
Risks
In the extremely steep terrain on the north side, we found a decent pack of drift snow, which gave us a few meters of ascent back. Otherwise it was very relaxed. The first loose snow avalanches from extremely steep, rocky terrain could be observed as the sun continued to shine.
Overall impression
Despite the crowds at the summit, today was a great day. The best views, 10 hours of sunshine and an unexpectedly fun descent. What more could you want in times like these?
