There is also snow in the deep and warm Inntal valley, and even more so in the Alpbachtal valley. From PP everything is well covered in snow. 10 cm of fresh snow from the night on very well set and massive, homogeneous old snow. Unfortunately, the old tracks weren't covered in snow today, it wasn't enough.

The fresh snow was fluffy. Good to ride but no faceshots, not fresh enough and probably not cold enough.

Risks

Very little surface frost. Loose snow slides in steep terrain with point-like cracks but not very thick, therefore harmless today. No sliding snow cracks visible but drifting snow, massive drifting. In the steep east-facing terrain, the fresh snow has fallen on a hard crust of old snow, unconnected, with more fresh snow certainly a potential danger.

Overall impression

4 von 5 Sterne

Good tour even without a summit, great company. Nice to be out of office.... Only the sun made itself scarce when it was supposed to shine for the descent.
