since i haven't seen any postings about the lechtal so far, we wanted to have a look on site today.none of the predicted precipitation arrived in parzinn. no fresh snow!!! today we took the hantennjochstr., to the west of the scharnitzkopf and were only on the north side.in the lechtal it's white from elmen onwards, to be able to do something in the terrain you need a starting altitude of about 1300m. from the bottom there's definitely something, picture 1, about 20cm of old snow. then it quickly gets more, in pfafflar 1600m, then about 40cm and further up to 1m.

Snow quality

2 von 5 Sterne

from the bottom old snow, from pfafflar good pow, but completely rutted, above the tree line everything is wind-capped and with the appropriate dynamic skiing style, also skiable. in the summit area quite blown off.

Risks

the tirol 3 was too high for the parzinn today. there was no fresh snow, so no drifting snow and no gliding snow on the north side. i would give it a stable 2. even steeper stuff, >40°, is acceptable. but there is a layer of floating snow near the bottom, probably from the november snowfalls.

Overall impression

3 von 5 Sterne

superb weather, no fresh snow, everything snowed up, still pow on the north side and an uncritical snow cover.
2 stars are too few, therefore a 3.
