The last drought period has also left its mark in Andermatt, the 30-40cm in the valley were important in order to be able to ski down the valley again without any problems.

Very different depending on the Expo. Where there was little wind, very good, in less sheltered locations the whole thing was relatively strongly bound. In addition, the lower you got above sea level, the more you broke through to the hard, icy old snow cover. In the valley, the whole thing was already relatively damp. But with open eyes it was still very good.

Risks

The snow fell on a hard, icy base, so it doesn't have the best bond with the old snow cover. I didn't see any signs of slipping in the area, nor were the blasting operations successful (as far as I saw). I would certainly assess the situation more critically in the touring area.

Nice Monday morning on the Gemsstock with a few enjoyable rides in amazingly good weather. Days like this can come a few more times...

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
