Snow report Upper Black Forest, 01/24/2015

Really lean for the end of January, last night again much less came down than announced. It wasn't more than a few measly centimeters. Not a single flake all morning today... All in all, between 20 and 30 cm at 1200m, very occasionally on icy old snow. That's too little even for the Black Forest...

The little snow off the beaten track was actually quite nice to ride on, if it weren't for the nasty molehills lurking everywhere...

Risks

In fact, the biggest danger today came from the molehills, followed by pasture fences, branches and small streams. However, the danger of avalanches should not be underestimated on the known steep slopes, the icy base.

Well, I would have hoped for a bit more. So it was already over by 12. Now we have to wait for the more or less heavy snowfall from Wednesday.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
