Snow report Paznaun Valley, 01/14/2014
Endlich geht mal wieder was! Heute im Paznauntal in der Gegend von der Heidelbergerhütte gewesen.

The PowderAlert hit the mark once again. Around 15 to 20 cm of fresh snow fell overnight. This fell without the influence of strong winds. Only further down and in terrain close to the ridge was there isolated contact with stones.
Snow quality
Mostly loose powder. Further down and on south-facing slopes, however, you could still feel the hard base.
Risks
The fresh snow has fallen in the Paznaun valley without much wind influence, hence the warning level 2 for this area according to the LLB today. I would confirm this. There were only a few small loose snow slides in the very steep terrain.
Overall impression
Finally a few decent descents again. So the 3rd star is definitely justified today.
