Erste schöne kleine Skitouren zum Winterhorn und ins Guspistal zum Saisonbeginn, da Andermatt zu voll erschien.

Snow condition
From about 1900m quite reasonable for the time of year. Below that, the amount decreases quite quickly. The pass road was still passable yesterday and today, but by midday today the volume had already decreased significantly.
Snow quality
Pleasant powder on north-facing slopes from 2000m, a bit damp below but still ok. Hash cover formation in other exposures, as it is quite sunny.
Risks
Several wet snow slides visible on the south side during the course of the day. Southeast side of the Winterhorn prone to quite large slides after 11h.
Overall impression
Well done for the start of the season! If the crowds now spread out to other areas, then the Gemsstock will also be calling!
