Snow report Salzburger Land Süd, 01/02/2014
Letzte Tour vor dem Sturm in den Hohen Tauern
Snow condition

Overall impression
Snow condition
Not much has changed in terms of the amount of snow. But it is getting less and less in the sunny exposures. Today there were no major problems with stone contacts on our tour in the north and north-east exposures.
Snow quality
Different. In wind and sun-protected locations, beautiful set powder. Otherwise a thin wind or sun crust dominates. But this can still be skied without any problems.
Risks
Relaxed on the tour today. Steep leeward slopes as well as steep gullies and hollows should be assessed critically. I would confirm the warning level TWO issued for this region.
Overall impression
The approaches are getting longer and longer due to the lack of snow and the large number of tourers, but we still managed to enjoy another fine, solitary tour today.
