Little snow. But still a little better than in the west. Good downhill runs to Zermatt and Cervinia. Only the last few meters are artificial snow.
Snow quality
Slopes are in top condition right down to the bottom. Away from the top, the slopes are mostly rocky, windswept and stony. Unfortunately nothing to get.
Risks
Rather uncritical. At most in steep terrain, gullies and hollows... old wet snow chute at the bottom now rock hard.
Overall impression
Good conditions for piste skiing. Off-piste is probably only possible with a lot of motivation Some tourers were heading towards the Breithorn.
