Snow condition
Snow conditions are good, ridges are blown off, cornices are massive. Overnight there was a small refresh of around 5 to a maximum of 10 cm in blown-in areas. No fresh snow elsewhere either.
Snow quality
Relatively hard base with reasonably powdery fresh snow. As we mainly skied variants with a short approach, the old and blown-in tracks were a bit annoying. On the whole, however, it was easy to ski. Broken snow on the south side.
Risks
On the sunny side, you can see that a lot of snow has fallen in the steep terrain over the last few days (see picture). The little fresh snow has been transported a lot and must be observed in steep terrain.
Overall impression
An unexpected amount of fresh snow, relaxed runs in the extended off-piste terrain and glorious weather are enough for a day in the top 3-star range!
