Snow condition
Without artificial snow, you couldn't ski in Obertauern. The northern slopes are slightly covered in snow and the southern slopes are quite bare. Activities are not possible outside of the artificial snow slopes.
Snow quality
The artificial snow turned into spring snow by midday with temperatures around freezing point.
Risks
Traces of wind can be seen high up in the Alps despite the poor snow conditions. Some snow can be found mainly in leeward areas sheltered from the wind.
Overall impression
Finally, it was possible to ride outside the glacier areas and therefore ride a few meters in altitude without crowds of people. However, there was a lousy fog today. Fresh snow is urgently needed!
