Snow report Verbier, 02/09/2014
Starker Südwestwind im Lötschental.

Overall impression
Snow condition
The fresh snow from the previous day was heavily transported and pressed by the wind.
Snow quality
From 1800m upwards it is windswept, but has good grip. No hard snow cover. Below that, it's nice to cruise down into the valley through the settled powder snow.
Risks
Avalanche warning level 3. Steeper sections and especially gullies and hollows seem to me to be susceptible due to the large accumulations of drift snow. Wind gnaws could be seen everywhere.
Overall impression
The strong wind was unpleasant and called for caution! The snow drifts often obstructed visibility. Nevertheless, a good day, as there was still a lot of untracked snow.
