In the valley 30cm of fresh snow, on the mountain at 1,000m already 50cm. At the top of my peak about 60 cm of fresh snow, next door on a higher mountain supposedly 1m. Sufficient for paths, alpine meadows and, for the first time in the season, also limited light forest.
Snow quality
Nice pow, a bit settled and denser in the evening, no longer quite powdery. But hey - the best snow for me so far this season.
Risks
Situation report indicates 4, very tense situation; massive subsidence noises on flat alpine meadow. Snow slab probably triggered spontaneously or remotely behind an edge of the terrain, see photos. Also danger of snow breakage in the forest.
Overall impression
The longed-for snow came as an overdose and with toxic side effects... In this situation, it's all about flat tours and there's often a submarine crawl... but still beautiful in winter Wonder Land.
