Upstairs hui downstairs pfui. In the lower and middle altitudes up to approx. 1400m, the snow conditions are relatively modest. South-facing exposed slopes even higher up. Every meter higher and there are five points plus. Ridges and crests blown clear at the top despite enormous amounts of snow.

Slab powder, icy patches, fluffy, heavy fluff, gloop. It was all there - but basically on the good side. But you had to look carefully for the slopes.

Risks

It was certainly quite tense above the tree line. I was able to make out two releases by skiers, but they were very small-scale. As the day progressed, temperatures rose and snow began to fall - certainly not the best combo for the next few days.

Overall impression

Good day - had expected more fresh snow, but as the SLF had already mentioned, the amounts of fresh snow varied greatly in a small area and we didn't find the hotspot.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!

Thank you for your contribution to the PowderGuide project!
