Snow condition

One of the five lowest days I have ever experienced.

Snow quality

First so blower that you floated into the valley without contact or a turn. Then slightly colder and so much rebound that you flew into the valley. All without turns.

Risks

It's rumbling and pumping from the high elevations. There is an unbound 1.5m layer in the area (I dug a snow profile in the 25 degree south-facing slope while searching for skis B)) which settled by the evening. Of course, I see terrain traps and steeper slopes as very critical. As soon as we were standing on slightly hilly terrain, it was booming in the morning. The settling at low altitudes was very noticeable over the course of the day. There were two warm fog clouds in which there was very brief sleet and everything stuck to the glasses. However, more is probably needed for a future weak layer.

Overall impression

5 von 5 Sterne

Five for the snow alone. Rarely experienced like this. Two more when there was visibility.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
