Snow condition
I'm mainly referring to the north sector here and award 3 stars for the snow conditions. The descent to Axams is also possible. Due to the bad winter so far, the base is still poor, but in the last week there has been quite a bit of base. Things look different on the south side. Almost no more base. Stone contact is still difficult to avoid. I would estimate that there was still around 20 cam of good powder to be found in sheltered gullies.
Snow quality
The quality has decreased significantly since the last report. The warm temperatures have made the snow heavier almost everywhere. Yesterday it was probably a 3-4, today it's generally only a 2. Often changeable. Only really good in gullies. The wind was much stronger than in the last few days and has also contributed to the deterioration.
Risks
According to the LLB generally 2, with wind in the afternoon through the wind 3. We also saw a larger snow slab. In the sunny slopes also surface avalanches with point releases. So 3 is justified, even if it is still manageable.
Overall impression
Still pretty good. But the peak is certainly over. With the "new" base and the predicted snowfall over the next few days, it still looks promising for March.
