Snow condition

Descents into the Lizum valley at 1600 are easily possible. There is hardly any contact with the ground in the forest. It's only the wind that prevents 4 stars. The snow has been blown away in many places and there is now less than on January 1st. There is a good 20 cm of fresh snow in areas protected from the wind. In the valley in Axams there is still about 10 cm.

It would almost be 4 stars, because the cold fresh snow is often great! Unfortunately, the areas above the tree line are very windswept and sometimes even icy.

Risks

The LLB speaks of a critical 3. We saw a lot of pronounced wind signs. There were also many snow slabs, which probably came down spontaneously, scattered throughout the area.

Overall impression

3 von 5 Sterne

Top day with strongly defensive tactics. The wind dampened the joy a little and prevented 4 stars.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
